Plant Powered Pinole: A Citizen-Led Coalition for a More Peaceful and Sustainable Pinole
Compassion and empathy begin with what we consume.
This might be in terms of the news we watch or read, the literature or media we enjoy, or, most importantly, the foods that we choose to eat.
Our ancestors consumed animals and animal products out of necessity and largely in spiritual harmony with the nonhuman animals they bred, killed, or harvested offspring from.
In the 21st century we live amidst two truths:
Human animals have less direct contact with the animals they consume or consume products from.
There has been much innovation toward living a compassionate and plant-based lifestyle.
Animal products are now largely a waste of water and land, and are one of the biggest producers of green house gas emissions.
